Happy 1st Birthday, Ms Anonymous!
Today is a big day!
Today this blog turns 1!
I had promised myself that I would write for a whole year, hoping to inspire just one person. The words came fast and furious at first, and then seemed to come to a screeching halt. But that’s how our development and growth happens sometimes. We have bursts of growth, and then we must rest to let our bodies catch up!
I never imagined that in less than 7 months that I would write 50 blog posts! Quality posts that really make you think about your identity and who you want to become. Along the way, I’ve also featured some amazing women who have taken massive action to make amazing changes in their lives and careers.
The past 365 days was a real journey of becoming a confident person for me – a writer, a blogger, strong and courageous, bold and outgoing. When I started the blog with redefining myself, I never thought I would be redesigning my life, and reimagining what’s possible for my future.
What I’ve come to learn in the process is that you can become a whole new person, if you just decide to do that. You can reprogram your brain and fill it with positivity. You can be the light that you need when you feel like you are stuck in the darkness.
Through this year of self-discovery and redefining myself, I have found so many new opportunities, and met amazing women along the journey. Because we were not meant to do life alone! There are other people out there whom we need, and who need us! The key is being open enough to find them and let them into our lives.
When we open ourselves up to becoming the next best version of ourselves, the old will start to fade away – the old negative thought patterns, and bad habits. These will be replaced with thoughts, words and actions that bring us joy, and help us see who we were meant to become!
So, as I celebrate this year of becoming, I’m also celebrating the fact that I no longer see myself as anonymous. And my goal is to help you do the same.
This blog is for every woman who has felt unseen, unheard, unsure, insignificant, unworthy, without hope, lacking in dreams and self-confidence. Through my words in the next year you will start to see yourself the way I see you: capable, beautiful, confident, loved, and brave! You will begin to step out of your comfort zone and into the life you most desire. A life that is filled with possibilities, if you dare to dream. You will begin to walk in your life with purpose, on purpose. A more confident you is who you will see in the mirror.
Your anonymous days are coming to an end.
You get to define yourself in the ways you have always dreamed.
Because you have the power to redefine, redesign and reimagine yourself and your life! This is just the beginning!
